We are a harbourside B&B located in the Charente Maritime area on the Gironde estuary, in the Bordeaux region of south west France.
The stone-built house is set back from the only street of Port Maubert, a tiny, tranquil community which is the last stepping point to the mouth of the Gironde Estuary. With it's wildlife, birds, sailing, vineyards there are a multitude of places to explore. One double and one twin room are available for our guests, and there is a large bathroom with a huge walk-in shower and a supersized bath. Delicious home-cooked meals or picnics are available if required - Jenny is a professional cook.
There is a restaurant in the village, as well as a crepe stall and takeaway pizza at the local campsite. The nearest boulangerie, small supermarket, bank and bar is situated in Saint-Fort sur Gironde. The nearest larger supermarket and shops are located in Mirambeau, a small town just 10km away. Port Maubert has a sailing school - reservations can be made prior to booking. This makes Chez Pecheurs a very affordable, comfortable and easily accessable holiday location.
